Heart Transplant

These Patients are advised Heart Transplant

They are Run Marathons NOW!

This is a Surprising Journey of Mr Sreedhar a receptionist. Mr Lokith graduate Student, Kasim Generator Technician, Durgiah a farmer and Mr Jitender private employee who became marathon runners today.

All these heart patients have a diagnosis of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) and Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM).  With these conditions it is very difficult to lead a normal life like others.  As this condition causes severe physical limitations.  For these patients It is heart breaking to hear the course of the disease.   The cause of the disease is exactly not known.

It is usually a PROGRESSIVE disease.  These patients are told “YOU NEED A HEART TRANSPLANT” towards the end.  Emotionally it is a very difficult situation for these patients with the thought of “one day I may need a heart transplant”

Most of these people and their family members impose physical boundaries. Inorder to prevent any load on the heart and try to build a fence to their physical, mental, and social boundaries.

Luckily, it’s not the same situation for above patients. They went through the Advanced Cardiac Rehab services and broken all the myths and boundaries surrounding them.  At the time of diagnosis, they could not even walk for 100 meters straight. But now they are running marathons up to 10kms because of cardiac Rehab. Now they can do all the daily activities at home and workplace more efficiently than before.  This is a surprise to themselves and the family members. Now the thought of a transplant has become remote.
