Ecosprin: what is it for?
Ecosprin is a brand of aspirin. Ecosprin 75 is a low dose, 75 mg. Heart patients take it to stop blood clots and lower the chance of a heart attack or stroke.
Only your doctor stops a medicine. From the NHS.
How is it taken?
Low-dose aspirin is usually one tablet a day. Take it the way your doctor wrote it.
Can I stop it?
No, not on your own. After a stent, stopping blood thinners early raises the risk of a heart attack by a lot. The stent can get blocked.
If the cost or a side effect is a problem, tell your doctor. Do not just stop.
Common side effects
- Stomach ache or indigestion.
- You bleed more easily. A small cut takes longer to stop.
Get help at once if
- you vomit blood,
- your stool (poo) is black, sticky and like tar.
These can be signs of bleeding inside the stomach.
What happens at Cardiac Rehab
- A doctor checks you first.
- You get an exercise plan made for you.
- You exercise for 90 minutes, 3 times a week, while the doctor’s team watches.
- Step by step, the exercise gets harder as you get stronger.
Why it helps with this
Medicines stop clots. Exercise makes the heart and body stronger. Cardiac rehab is where the two meet. The rehab team explains what each medicine is for.
A 2026 review of 107 studies looked at people after a heart attack, a stent or bypass. Those who did cardiac rehab had 28% fewer heart attacks. They had 35% fewer hospital stays.
Heart guidelines in the US (AHA and ACC) and in Europe (ESC) give cardiac rehab their highest grade: Class I, Level A.
Cardiac Rehab, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad runs these sessions.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to take Ecosprin for life?
Often, yes. To prevent a heart attack or stroke, low-dose aspirin is usually taken for a long time, sometimes for life. After a stent, most people keep taking aspirin for life.
Why does Ecosprin give me acidity?
Aspirin and clopidogrel can upset the stomach lining. So doctors often add a stomach medicine, such as omeprazole, to protect it. Take it the way your doctor wrote it.
Can I stop Ecosprin if I feel fine?
No. Feeling fine does not mean you can stop. After a stent, stopping blood thinners early raises the risk of a heart attack. Only your doctor should stop it.
